Before Law
The Hour of the Pig
The Hour of the Pig attends to the boundaries and limits of the body—the skin that stretches between human and non-human other. In opening up the category of the human, this collection is host to questions relating to physical form—the body and the built environment—and its role in delineating who or what is treated under the rubric of the law. The works gathered here reflect on the production of systems of classification, that illustrate how the body and the carceral state are simultaneously congealed in shaping our everyday material realities.
